D – All of the above. Homewatch CareGivers performs thorough background checks on all of their employees. We check the State Police and Sex Offender Registry, and we look for abuse and neglect charges through the Illinois Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General. All of our caregivers are required to be finger printed with the Illinois Department of Public Health to work for our agency. Homewatch CareGivers also performs reference check with previous employers, verify their driver’s license and car insurance, and we perform drug testing before employment and at random throughout the year.

D – All of the above. Before a client begins services with Homewatch CareGivers, our Managing Director visits the home to learn more about the client and their home. A customized care plan is created to outline all of the necessary care the client requires to keep them safe in their home. Our Case Manager performs regular Quality Assurance visits with the client to make sure all of the client’s needs are being met and updating the plan of care as needed. Caregivers are required to fill out Daily Activity Logs to track all of the tasks they are performing in the home. This allows the Homewatch Team to monitor activities and make sure the caregivers are performing all of the tasks listed on the client’s customized plan of care.
