The Home Care Association of America, is working alongside home care agencies such as Homewatch CareGivers to take an important stand demonstrating the vital role we play in the healthcare continuum. We recognize that home care workers are essential in keeping the most vulnerable safe. Because our elder clients are at a higher risk of complications, it is imperative that they stay at home in a low-risk environment. Our caregivers are needed to help protect the elder people by preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
In order to Protect and Prevent, we must:
- Wash hands frequently
- Disinfect surfaces routinely
- Check clients for fever/symptoms daily
- Maintain a safe distance always
- Check in regularly
